Oil painting on cotton canvas - 24"x24"
Born in Lyon (France), Carole Jury lives in New Jersey. She is an abstract painter who likes playing with textured strokes, nuances of color and brightness and to work with all kind of mediums and tools. The majority of her series is inspired by her photos, which give her a guide for sheen, brightness and reliefs. Carole Jury’s paintings give new life to the classic oil on canvas. On their own, the paintings stand up as studies in layering and abstraction. The nervous energy of the brushstrokes and incredibly color palette suggest an immediately ominous feeling. The thick layers change the look of the paint, giving it a reflective, plastic quality. This treatment of oil paint makes Jury’s works worth a second look. Her modern approach and love for design has led her to become an artist resident of Bo Concept Princeton and Calligaris KOP where her work is permanently exhibited. She is represented by Allessandry Berni-NYC, Azart Gallery -NYC, Gallery of Music and Art- Las Vegas and Gallery des artistes-PA. Her work can be found in private collections in Europe, USA and is exhibited in major art fairs.
Carole Jury is also sponsored by Daler Rowney North America.
